Electronic material acquired by the library can be used even outside the network of Oulu UAS, for instance from home. Only the students and staff of Oulu UAS are allowed remote access.
The library acquires e-resources both through the FinELib Consortium of the National Library of Finland and directly from the publishers or vendors. The license agreements for e-resources specify the rights and the restrictions on usage, such as printing, citing and creating links. Commercial use of e-resources is prohibited.
Databases marked with a red lock icon can be accessed remotely. Remote access requires logging in with student or staff user name and password.
Or create a VPN-connection to Oulu UAS network.
Not all electronic databases offered by Oulu UAS can be accessed with student or staff user name and password. Some databases require a collective user name and password.
The user names and passwords for these services are saved in a password bank, which you can access with the user name and password given by the library. You can request them by sending email to firstname.lastname@example.org. The user name and password for the password bank are given only to students and staff of Oulu UAS.
Databases marked with a green lock icon are open access databases and do not require logging in.
Some materials are available only in the campus area.
